Team involvement is critical. According to Lawrence Zenk, VP of Customer
Education and Sales at Keller Laboratories, “Team members become
more involved in BOTH the clinical photography and case presentation
skills, supporting the doctors new skills and interest in applying
new learning. They, in fact, often are the driving force behind the
accelerated implementation of the learning.”
According
to Lawrence Zenk at Keller Labs, “We have measured Dr. Maher’s
value in many ways. Doctors who attend the programs significantly increase
the amount of anterior esthetic cases completed—on average 48% in overall
laboratory billings and esthetic work from participants in the 6 months
following our program compared to the 6 months prior. So what are you waiting
for? For you and your dental practice, one-on-one clinical mentoring may
be the perfect solution to growing your practice.
We all have different personalities. Some of us don’t really enjoy
being in the spotlight, but we can handle it pretty well when we must.
However, there are others of us that don’t do well at all in front
of crowds. Dr. Maher says, “Sometimes in these larger clinical learning
settings, I have noticed that only those dentists that like being in front
of people do most of the learning. Often, a dentist that would really LIKE
to participate more “holds back” because of these feelings. It
makes it much harder to learn when a dentist is fighting this discomfort
throughout the program.” Dr. Maher continues, “Most dentists
are not ‘performers.’ That
is, there are lots of great dentists that really don’t enjoy learning
in front of ‘large group’ clinical settings. Some feel self conscious
and learn MUCH more quickly in a comfortable one-on-one setting. I also
find that the dental school clinic is frequently not the most condusive
environment to learn in wth it's unfamiliar and most likely dated design.”
